To be honest I don't care if a program or app I'm using was vibe coded if it does the thing I need it to do. I get not wanting to support software made that way but like if I download an app from fdroid and it was vibe coded partially who cares to be honest. I can't read or write code so how does that affect me?

People are like SOFTWARE THAT USES AI IS INHERENTLY SLOP EVEN IF IT GOES THROUGH A REVIEW PROCESS no it isn't don't be ridiculous.

@amy thinking about in the case of something like Linux where they accept AI generated code but it goes through the exact same intense review process as any code going into the kernel always has. I don't know programming languages so for me regardless of if the code is reviewed or not as long as the thing does the thing I need the thing for I will use the easiest thing to use. If it doesn't work well, well, I've used plenty of human coded software that was dog shit too.
